Halloween has been and gone, so now the holiday season really is upon us. How ready are we for some turkey, cheese platters, and everything peppermint, and cinnamon spice? But as we all know, the build-up to the season and the festivities is a marathon and not a sprint. There is a lot to organize and arrange, so don’t feel the rush and the overwhelm. One of the keys to surviving and getting through this season of things is to create a timeline to help you get prepped with anything. From planning what gifts you’ll be buying and when, to when you want to get prepped for a Christmas party; it all needs to be planned out, on a timeline, almost. So here is a guide to help you to get party ready, for all of the festivities that you have planned (or are planning).
Body scrub or a massage
Before you spend all of your gifts and spend money on a festive outfit, it can be a good idea to treat yourself to a relaxing body scrub, or even a massage. It can be a good way to get off any dead skin, and when you’re in winter, skin can get really dry, so you can feel great afterwards. You can feel like new with some silky smooth skin. If you don’t have the time or money to go out to a salon, then you can easily do it yourself at home by having a soak in the bath, and then using a body scrub or exfoliant.
Choosing makeup
If you are someone that likes to wear makeup, then the holidays are a great time to be creative with it and have a bit of fun with it. You could choose a bold new eyeshadow, or a dewy bronzer to give your skin a boost with a pop of color. You could also choose some lipsticks to help you to have the perfect smile over the season. Choose the color wisely, though, as some shades, like cold blue-red, can make teeth look a little more yellow.
Teeth
If you want your teeth to be looking good, then make sure you brush and floss at least twice a day and see your dentist regularly. For an emergency situation, where you have a dental issue and have a party or event the same night, then you might need somewhere that does same day dental crowns to rescue you, so you don’t miss out on the fun. Using (paper) straws for your drinks this season, can also be a good way to protect your teeth.
Hair color & cut
This is something that needs to be booked now! So many hairdressers get booked up in December as everyone gets ready for the festivities. So book it now, if you need a cut or a color, to make sure that you don’t miss out. Try to time it with any events that you have coming up, like the day before a work party, for example. When you’re there, it can be a good idea to ask your hairstylist for a few new tips and tricks or style ideas for your hair over the holidays.
