Our Family Valentine’s Day Date at Medieval Times Atlanta

Hey ya’ll!

Love is in the air! We are all about Valentine’s Day! And with that, we were itching to celebrate early as a family! We decided to spend our Valentine’s Day celebration together at Medieval Times, and boy were we right for that decision!

Now, this wasn’t our first time to go to Medieval Times– Mr. R and I had gone on one of our first dates, and we had taken Tino for his 2nd birthday because homeboy was OBSESSED with horses at that age! But we really wanted to go again, and so when the opportunity presented itself, we just knew that would be our family Valentine’s Day date. Sure, not everyone does a family Valentine’s Day Date, but it’s always been very important to us to plan dates with our kids- sometimes one-on-one Mom/Daughter, Dad/Son, Dad/Daughter, Mom/Son, you get the idea! This time, it was a Big Kids Date (because we knew the baby wouldn’t do too well with sitting still for nearly 2 hours!) The big kids loved the special time with us, and we loved watching the magic in their eyes!

So, we were set-up with the VIP Royalty tickets, which was such a treat! We were on the Red and Yellow Knight’s team, and we got great second-row seating to be all up in the action!

The Food

Now, for those of you that don’t know, this show is a dinner/show combo. So, they bring out your dinner (which is a pre-set menu of delicious-ness) and NO silverware! All you get is what God gave you, aka your hands! The menu really is tasty, and includes a tomato soup + garlic bread, a half of a roasted chick, corn on the cob, a potato wedge, and coffee + pound cake for dessert. Really, really scrumptious!! You also get two refills of either water, sweet tea, or Pepsi. I love the simplicity of it all! Of course, there are allergy/vegetarian options so there is something for everyone! There’s also a full bar and plenty of drink specials!

The Show

We love the show at Medieval Times because my kiddos are ALL into make believe and princesses and knights and basically everything that Medieval Times is about! During the show, each section supports a certain color knight as they do tricks, challenges, and ultimately meet another knight for battle. We love how realistic the fight scenes are, and obviously love getting to see the gorgeous horses!
