Hey y’all!
I am so excited to give you guys a little tour of Baby Andrés’ nursery today! Spoiler alert for those of you who may think this looks familiar- it’s Tino’s old nursery! Since we had back-to-back boys, it didn’t make sense to do a total overhaul of the nursery, so instead we changed the theme, got new bedding, and added a few staple pieces to the room to make it his own. We are still waiting on some custom art pieces that Mr. R made for the room, so I’ll be sure to update this post once those come in!
If you remember, Tino’s nursery theme was baseball. This time around, we are super into Atlanta United, our new soccer team, and decided to go with a soccer theme. I loved this theme because that meant lots of black and white, which I love! The sheets and changing pad cover were from Target, and I liked them because they were black and white without being overly “soccer”. Instead of a kiddy-type bedding, we went with a more classic look.
To go with that classic, sophisticated feel I was going for, I added in two gorgeous pieces from Lorena Canals, a line of machine-washable, super durable rugs, blankets, and accessories. One of my favorites from this brand is this Neutral Blanket. Although we happen to be using in the nursery, it is perfect for any room in the house! I love the bubbles on the end, and since they are little balls and we are doing a soccer-themed nursery, they made a good fit in there. I love how soft this blanket is, and it’s very large, making it perfect for a bigger kid, too!
The other staple piece that we chose for his nursery is the Bubbly Grey Basket, which is the perfect little blanket caddy for us. As he gets older, we’ll be able to use it for toy storage, as well. I love that the bubbles on the end match the bubbles on his blanket, bringing the whole Sophisticated Soccer theme to life for me 🙂
