2017 Holiday Gift Guide: For the Babies and Kids!

Hey y’all!

Welcome to Part 2 of our Holiday Gift Guide! Like I said in Part 1, we realized that now we are a growing family of (almost) 5, it’s hard for us to fit all of our top gift ideas into just one post! We decided to split up the gift guide this year into For the Parents, and For the Babies and Kids, to make sure we gave each group enough of a chance to showcase the awesome goodies we’ve chosen on our personal wish lists!

**Top Gift Ideas For Baby**

DockATot

My top pick for new babies this year is really a gift to parents- let’s be honest. The DockATot is probably one of the coolest products on the market for baby right now, so I knew I wanted to try it out with a new baby on the way! The DockATot is a multi-functional lounger, co-sleeper and playtime lounger; basically, a comfy place for baby to lay whenever, wherever. The DockATot comes in two sizes, (Deluxe for 0-8 Months, Grand 9-36 months). While the Deluxe is perfect for little loungers, the Grand is great for toddler bed transitions, or even napping! And, both DockATots have the ideal micro-climate for babies and tots, and are completely breathable.

I’m already scheming on how we can use the DockATot on our Disney World vacation in April, because I think it will be the perfect bed and resting spot for Baby Andres, in a tight Disney room. We usually do a Pack ‘n Play, but this innovative, unique product has just won my heart!

Check out DockATot for all of their sizes, designs, and options! And if you use my affiliate link, you’ll receive $10 off any Dock!

BinxyBaby

Y’all! I have been eyeing the BinxyBaby since I had my very first baby and am finally trying it out with #3! This is a product I had come across lots on Instagram but had never actually taken the plunge on, but I am so glad to be trying it out this time, since we are about to be outnumbered! The BinxyBaby is this neat contraption that clips on to the sides of most  standard grocery store carts to either lay baby in, or hold their car seats safely (up to 50 pounds). Think shopping cart hammock for sweet little ones! Babies can use it until they are about 6-8 months or can sit up on their own. And don’t worry, mamas! The BinxyBaby is safely tested and very secure!

PS- order from my affiliate link above, and you’ll receive 10% off!

Binxy Baby

I can wait to see my Baby Andres chilling in the BinxyBaby while we go shopping soon! I’m loving the Indigo Dream pattern, but there are tons of boy, girl, and neutral options! Obviously, I’ll share pictures again when there is actually a baby to show it off!

The Ollie Swaddle

We’ve struggled with the other two kids on finding a swaddle that was just right, and I’m crossing my fingers and toes that this gorgeous Ollie Swaddle with be the magic swaddle of my dreams- after all, it is known as the the Smarter Swaddle™! Made from custom moisture-wicking material to reduce the risk of overheating, this custom-fit swaddle allows for the fit to be individualized to meet the needs and size of each little one! It’s perfect!

This swaddle also provides easy access for diaper changes accessible through opening at the bottom- these people must be parents or something! 😉 Beyond the amazing product, this swaddle also came to me packaged like no product had before- in a gorgeous, re-usable box with a beautiful note inside- definitely gift-worthy if you are going to a baby shower or picking out Christmas gifts for baby-to-be!

Order through my affiliate link for 10% off any Ollie products!

Tommee Tippee Goodies

Who doesn’t love a new-baby starter kit? Tommee Tippee has so many goodies right now that are perfect for babies, you could put together a great basket of baby goodies as a baby gift (hint hint: I know I’d sure love this for a Baby Christmas gift! 😉 Our current favorites that we can’t wait to use when Andres arrives are:

  • Closer to Nature bottle: A favorite among parents and babies alike, this bottle has a breast-like nipple to simplify the transition to bottle-feeding. While I am usually able to breastfeed and definitely plan on it with Baby #3, I also have to go back to work and would love the closest thing to the boob so he’ll be sure to take it!
  • Comfi-Neck bib: This super-soft bib will keep sensitive skin happy with its special dribble-catcher to prevent unwanted rashes during feeding time – available in pink, blue and beige. It’s also reversible, with super cute designs!
  • Fun Style pacifier: With silly animal and monster shields these pacis feature Tommee Tippee’s award winning Closer to Nature nipple, to sooth little ones – . Available in 0-6 and 6-18 month styles. This ones BIG on my list and is currently packed in my hospital bag because I am determined to have a kid take a pacifier one day! Hopefully this one will be the perfect paci!

Baby Bear Outfitters Sweatshirts

….Because, baby matching sweatshirts are pretty much the cutest thing ever, I knew I had to get the boys (ok, that’s weird to say!) their first matching outfit! I am loving Baby Bear Outfitters for two reasons: first, their adorable clothing collection, as seen in the sweatshirts! They also have matching trendy baby joggers to go with the sweatshirts! What kid doesn’t just melt your heart in sweats? Come on!

The second reason I am loving Baby Bear Outfitters is their swoon-worthy diaper bag, and I don’t use that term lightly! Well, they have several diaper bags, but I just can’t take my eyes off their 2-in-1 leather backpack tote. It comes with a slightly higher pricetag than other diaper bags, but it’s luxury look, real leather, and durability make it SO worth it.

Stop by Baby Bear Outfitters to find a great gift for Baby this Christmas!

**Top Gift Ideas for Kids**

Little Tikes Hot Hoops

This game is so. much. fun! Even without the kiddos around, Mr. R and I love to shoot hoops and race each other to see who can make the most baskets! It also folds up to stay compact, and there is a cool little compartment built in to hide the balls (because we all know that kids love to lose spare parts, amiright?) It’s made for kids 5+ but my kiddos had a great time with it (although they didn’t make many shots, so the skill level required is more of a 5-year-old!) At only $24.99, it’s a great gift buy!

Little Tikes Farm Memory Matching Game

This cute little game is inexpensive, fun, and perfect for little learners! Each animal can be taken apart in half, hidden under an egg, and then the kiddos have to try and match the two halves together! So easy, both kids picked it up within 2 minutes of playing 🙂 They loved it and ask to play with it every single day! For only $14.99, it’s a steal!!

Smooshins Surprise Maker Kit

Anissa LOVES this Smooshins Surprise Maker Kit!!! Like, we have had to buy refill pack on refill pack for this cool set! Basically, you get a surprise maker and squeeze tool, two surprise character molds, two color pouches – pink and orange, plus one practice pouch, six surprise collectible accessories. Pop in the color pouch, squeeze it into the mold, and let it grow overnight (this was the hardest part for my 3-year-old!) In the morning, you are woken up by a neat little Smooshins doll which you can add accessories to! The maker is re-usable, so if you buy refill packs you can keep making and customizing your own Smooshins. Perfect for DIY and craft lovers, too!

Tommee Tippee Tuff Stuff Tumbler:

If you are looking for a practical but fun gift for your favorite little guy or gal, the Tommee Tippee Tuff Stuff Tumbler is a great find! Your tot can sip in style with this insulated stainless steel cup. Suitable for 18+ months, Tuff Stuff is tough enough to handle your toddler, and comes in a boys’ or girls’ style!

Hatchimals

Yes yes, I know that this was last year’s hot ticket item, but Anissa wasn’t quite old enough to want this last year. This year, though, she is all about a little creature that hatches out of a big sparkly egg! You can snag your Hatchimal at Target, Toys R Us, or Costco this year, and you can even get a twin version! You shouldn’t have too hard of a time finding one if you are a year behind, like us!

XO,

Amanda

Disclosure: I received product for review from Smooshins, Little Tikes, Tommee Tippee, Baby Bear Outfitters, The Ollie World, Binxy Baby, and DockATot in exchange for my review, however all opinions are my own.
