2017 Holiday Gift Guide: For the Parents

Hey y’all!

Can you believe it’s already November?? That means I’m deep in the throws of brainstorming what to get each member of our ever-growing family for Christmas. I’ve rounded up my favorite gifts for Babies, Kids, Moms, and Dads, but these amazing products can be adapted for just about anyone in your life! Because we have so many top gifts this year, we’ve decided to split up the Holiday Gift Guide into two parts: For the Parents and For the Kids!

**Top Gift Ideas for Moms**

LipSense Makeup and Skincare

I’ve been eye-balling this amazing lipwear forever but have never had the chance to try out LipSense until now! OMG- I have been missing out! LipSense is long lasting smudge proof, kiss proof, waterproof lip color. I wore it for Thanksgiving and applied it at 11 a.m., and when we left at 5 p.m. my lips were still PERFECT!

This great, long-lasting lip color is so easy to use- just apply 3 coats (letting them dry between coats) in a brushing style instead of back and forth, and top with their gloss for all day color and shine! Lorena Canals rugs and accessories

I am loving all of the machine-washable, super durable options from this gorgeous rug brand, Lorena Canals. Specifically, one of my top favorites from this sophisticated brand is this Bubbly Grey Basket, which is perfect for a nursery (where we will be using it) or really any spot in the house where you just need a little extra storage space!

Another favorite from this brand is this Neutral Blanket, which again, we happen to be using in the nursery, but really, is perfect for any room in the house! I love the bubbles on the end, and since they are little balls and we are doing a soccer-themed nursery, they made a good fit in there, but you better believe mama’s going to be stealing it!

All rugs and cushions from Lorena Canals are all machine-washable, fit into a standard washer and dryer, and are made from all natural dyes and materials. Proceeds support the Sakula project, and provide schooling for children in India.

KitchenAid Stand Mixer

This one was actually an *early* Christmas gift and we are absolutely LOVING it!! We found ours at Costco right now for $249 (an $80 savings) but I’m sure there will be all kinds of great deals for Black Friday!

So far, we’ve ground our own chuck for burgers (!?!? I KNOW, RIGHT?!), and I’ve made lots of cookies and pancakes. Why this KitchenAid over a simple hand mixer? Well, I can do huge amounts of baking at once, and all of the attachments are so cool, we can try out so many new things! For example, we are trying mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving and I’ll be baking out the wazoo- perfect timing!

Nando’s PERI-PERI Sauce

If your husband/dad is anything like my hubby, he loves to throw meat on the grill and is always looking for a great marinade. This holiday season, I wanted to surprise Mr. R with a unique, bold new flavor for him to cook with, so I looked to Nando’s PERI-PERI sauce and fount everything I was looking for and more!

The South African/Portuguese sauce brings bold flavor and spice to any dish via its main ingredient, the African Bird’s Eye Chili, a unique pepper hailing from Mozambique. Nando’s PERI-PERI sauce comes in 5 unique flavors:

We got to try out the Medium sauce and the Garlic and oh man, were they delicious!!! PlayStation 4

This is a biggie in our house! Hubs has been talking about wanting one forever! He loves the PlayStation 4‘s slim new look, the new games that are offered, and the fact that it plays 4K. Also, PlayStation Vue is a great non-cable platform for anyone that is looking to cut their cable but not miss out on their favorite shows.

Best part? We are already seeing great deals coming up on the PS4. It’s going to be $200 at Costco on Black Friday, and also on Black Friday, Kohl’s will be giving $60 Kohl’s Cash when you buy one!

Google Home Mini

We are already fans of Google Home and had included it in last year’s Holiday Gift Guide! This year, we are adding to our Google Home collection with Google Home Minis, the smaller version that will only run you $49! They still have some of the same great features like playing music and searching for things for you, but with a smaller size and price tag!
