Hey y’all,Life gets busy busy busy! At times it becomes overwhelming and I’m sure everyone can relate! We all have our little tricks to make everything run smoother, but when more and more stuff gets added to our plate sometimes these tricks get, well, trickier to manage.

Sometimes life comes at you from all sides with: work, teaching, cooking dinner, toddler eating cat food, gymnastics, family birthday party, toddler had poop explosion, oil change, dentist appointment, toddler jumping off stairs, bathroom leak, side jobs to make more money, toddler playing with knife, empty fridge, AC broken, toddler being silent, WAIT, toddler being silent!!! Where is my toddler!!?
At times like this is when Mr. R and I usually take a breather and turn to our best friend GOOGLE. Google is our trick for organizing and maintaining the sanity in our life. We pretty much use google for everything, from backing up our family photos and keeping our schedule to creating shopping lists and babysitting our children. That’s right babysitting our children! Think I’m kidding, try saying the following to Google Home and see how your afternoon opens up! “Okay Google, play giant mystery egg videos on the playroom TV.”
Google offers an array of products that we find useful and quite honestly vital in the way we manage our family. Below are the two products that I find to be most helpful and use everyday:
Google Inbox
If you are still using Google’s old email set up, STOP! Inbox is the perfect email platform allowing you to organize the hundred daily emails by bundling them into categories. Inbox also shows your daily REMINDERS right in your email chain. One thing I love is that you can hit snooze on an email that is important but you may not have time to read or respond to at the moment. For example, an e-mail from your child’s teacher reminding you that he is still eating his boogers and reporting how it tastes. An email like that should get a response, but if it comes in at the end of a workday, you maybe tired and not want to deal with it, so you can just SNOOZE it until tomorrow morning, or whenever you want, and Inbox will bring that email back to the top of your email feed when you set it to!
You can also SET REMINDERS right from your email window and they will SYNC up with your calendar. Just like the snoozed emails, reminders will be shown at the top of your email feed when the time set approaches. Inbox also makes it easy for you to email your most contacted people in a click of a button, without having to remember their emails 🙂 And one more thing I find super convenient, since we use all Google products, is that right from Inbox there is an app drop down window that lets you get to all your favorite apps in just one click!
