MY SECOND BABY IS HALF A YEAR OLD!!! WHAT THE WHAT!!!
Ok, now that that’s out of my system, we can get on with this post 😉 So, the epitome of having two babies is me thinking I had posted this 6-month blog post, you know, around his 6 month birthday (July 1)… turns out, never happened! Whoops- sorry baby boy, your post is a 3.5 weeks late. #momlife
But, we’ve been having a kick-butt summer, so I think a tardy blog post is actually a good thing, because we’ve been having too much fun to sit still and write lately! “Baby Boy” (his name, according to Anissa) is such a fun, fun, fun baby and I just can’t get enough of his big gummy smile and sweet hugs and cuddles.
True to the age, we’ve been going through some separation anxiety… including the fact that if I’m in the room and not holding him, he will squirm and fuss, which, I can’t lie, tugs at my heart strings knowing he knows me and wants me (though some might just call that spoiled!)
So we’re not crawling yet, but doing this weird shoulder crawl thing that is more than army crawling but not real crawling- he uses his face instead of his hands to scoot him along! Hopefully the crawling will come soon!
Alright, so let’s get his 6 month stats and some pictures, of course!
Weight: 18.5 pounds
Height: 26.5 inches
Sleeping: Still mostly through the night, with the exception of some nights when he wants to nurse all night long and ends up just camping out in our bed 😉
Eating: Still exclusively breastfed+solids! He way prefers real food to baby food.
Wearing: 9 or 12 months
Doing: Aaaaalmost crawling, standing with help, babbling lots, recognizes family, plays peek-a-boo
Here are some pictures!! I just can’t believe how much he has grown in the past 6 months!
