As a blogger, one of the best things you can do for yourself, your blog, and your name is create good, meaningful, visually appealing works to represent brands and your own brand. Part of that means taking great pictures to accompany your posts and reviews- something that, up until now, had not been a top priority for me. I cared about my pictures and what they looked like, but I didn’t have a great camera (I always used my phone) and I just didn’t know how to get the best shots. Every now and then, Cele would shoot some great pictures using his work camera and his eye for a good shot, but I wanted to be able to do just as much without having to bother him to take the pictures for me.
And thus began my journey to learn photography. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been researching pictures and types of pictures that inspire me, and using our family camera (see below), trying to up my photo skills. Last week, we headed to Ponce City Market and the Beltline to use them (and my babies, of course) as my models for some photography practice.
OK, the last one was from Disney World but I just loved that shot and wanted to throw it in! I know I still have a ways to go, but I’m really happy with some of the progress I’m seeing and how some of my new pictures are turning out! Here are some of my favorites that I’ve shot recently.
