That’s a Wrap! The First Week of School 2015

Phew! The first week of school is OFFICIALLY IN THE BOOKS!

I am so excited and proud to have completed my first “first week of school” (last year I was a student teacher). I know I have SO much to go and this is only just the beginning, but the year has started off better than I ever could have imagined!

If you didn’t know, I’m a 5th grade teacher. Last year, I taught all subjects, but this year we decided to departmentalize, so now I am only teaching English Language Arts and Social Studies, and my team teacher teaches Math and Science. This is awesome, because I feel like I really get to become a content expert with these subjects and really LEARN the material.

I have 22 “babies” in my homeroom, and then 23 in my second class, which is a dream come true after having 30 last year!

I also wanted to share a sneak peek of my classroom. Thanks to my mom, sister and Mr. R for helping me set it up just like I wanted!

Here’s to a great week 2!
