Some exciting news….

Anissa Marie is so excited (for now- we’ll see how she feels when it is actually happening!) to announce that she will be a Big Sister in January 2016! We are so blessed and excited to welcome Baby #2!

To say we were surprised that we’ll have two under 2 is an understatement, but we couldn’t be more excited to have them so close together. I’ll admit, it wasn’t the plan (don’t we all have one?) but after how hard we tried for Anissa and how much we had to go through, I’ll take a “surprise baby” that’s a little off schedule any day!

So far, at 14 weeks, everything is looking great! I was sicker at the beginning this time than I was with Anissa, but I’ve had less issues (or is it that I’m less worried this time around since I’ve been there, done that?) I’ve been more tired, too, but I think that has a lot to do with being at home all summer with an always-on-the-go toddler! Luckily, though, the first trimester fell right in the summer, so afternoon naps when Anissa napped were not a problem! I found out I was pregnant the last two weeks of school, and that was ROUGH. Not being able to go to the restroom whenever I wanted, always being hungry and always feeling sick while trying to teach 30 kids and dealing with the end-of-school emotions and excitement was no easy task, so I am so glad I had an easy rest of the first trimester! Now into the second trimester, I am definitely showing, wearing maternity clothes all day, erryday, and feeling good! Anissa loves kissing and “patting” (hitting) the baby, and loves to kiss the ultrasound picture on the fridge. We call it “her baby” and she gets so excited!

Stay tuned for more exciting news and updates about Baby R #2, including, of course, Bump Dates! We’re going for an early ultrasound at Stork Vision just like we did for Anissa, so hopefully we will find out the gender on August 1!
