Hi everyone,
Holy smokes! I know I say this every month, but how is my baby girl a month closer to ONE?! She is 8 months old now, an that just absolutely blows my mind!
It’s been a tough few weeks for our little gal. As you may have read, she’s been sick. And not just a random fever here or there, but big-time sick, suffering from RSV, bronchiolitis and a double ear infection. On top of all that, either the bronchiolitis has been keeping her coughing, or she may have asthma, as most of Mr. R’s family does. So, we’ve been keeping her on a breathing treatment machine (nebulizer) every 4 hours to keep her breathing in check.
Other than that, little miss is growing growing growing and learning new, fun stuff every day! She’s recently mastered clapping, scooting out of her carseat when she is not buckled, waving bye, and getting from her booty to her knees. She still has no interest in crawling but definitely wants to walk!
Oh, and she also got her helmet! I’m sure you’ve seen the pictures on Instagram, but she will sporting the helmet for at least 3 months to hopefully round out that flat head issue she’s sporting!
So, here are the basics on my favorite girl this month:
- Weight: 20 pounds 3 oz
- Height: 27 inches
- Sleeping: Really well! About 11 – 12 hours per night in her crib.
- Eating: Absolutely everything! Especially table food. Maybe that’s why she is over 20 pounds!
- Diapers: 4s
- Doing: Clapping, rolling across the room to get wherever she wants, going from sitting to knees, “walking” while holding onto a toy and pushing the toy. She also started swim lessons this month, which she absolutely loved!!
- Words: This is a new one! She has 4 words: Mama, Pa/Papa, Bye, Hey
