*Review* Mom’s Necklace

Hey everyone,

Part of being a mom that I am quickly learning about is the need to mix comfort, fashion and safety in to one. While it may seem like a weird mix, it’s actually something I’ve struggled with almost daily and am finally starting to get a grip of! For example, when I get dressed in the mornings, I have to think, “Yes, these earrings are great, but are they just moving targets waiting to be yanked by little hands?” One of my favorite accessories is my white Kendra Scott Rayne necklace– I just love that it goes with everything- but I’ve also noticed it’s one of Anissa’s favorite accessories to try and EAT! And while I love that she loves to play with it so much, I don’t want her putting silver in her mouth all day long!

This struggle to balance fashion and safety for my daughter led me straight into the loving arms of Mom’s Necklace, an Etsy-based company that provides organic nursing necklaces and teething toys through their shop, MagazinIL. But here’s the kicker- they are FASHIONABLE! I would wear these even without a kid, they are just so nice! Behold the beauty I received below:

 

As you can see, the necklace has some wooden balls covered in crochet, as well as others that are not covered. It has a teething ring on the bottom, which is perfect for Miss A as we patiently await the arrival of her first tooth! The necklace is completely safe for the baby to chew on, in case you were worried!

Mom’s Necklace has a wide variety of colors and styles in their shop on Etsy, and they even have some teething toys, as well! Prices are super reasonable, with necklaces ranging anywhere from $15 – $35. I absolutely love the style and look of it, and I think it really is a statement piece for me to wear on my own, whether or not the baby is with me. As an added bonus, crocheted and wooden beads provide a variety of tactile senses and develop fine motor skills.
