20 Week Bump-date

Hey everyone!

Well, we’re here! We’ve finally reached the 20 week mark of the pregnancy, which means we’re halfway there! I know I just posted about all of the prepping we’re doing for Anissa Marie’s spring arrival, but I thought I’d give a bit of an update on the pregnancy, as well!

So, what’s goin’ on? According to my apps, the baby is the size of a small cantaloupe or a banana (depending on which you check!) and she’s about 11 inches long all stretched out. We have 139 days to go till her due date. We had our 20 week ultrasound/anatomy scan today, and all looks great! How could you not fall in love with this cuteness?

About me, I’ve been having some killer heartburn lately… I’ve tried everything from Tums to yellow Gatorade to candied ginger (YUCK!!!) and am still taking suggestions, if anyone has any! I just got the go-ahead from the doctor to take over-the-counter meds for heartburn, like Zantac, so I’m going to have to try that! I’ve gained 11 pounds so far, and am feeling all together very good (thank God and knock on wood!!) My hips hurt when I sleep, but otherwise, I’ve had it pretty easy and can definitely say I’ve been lucky! Check out my sweet pre-breakfast bump yesterday (and believe me, pre- and post-breakfast are definitely noticeably different!

Mr. R, aka Daddy R is getting used to the idea of having a little princess around and is definitely already spoiling her and teaching her a great sense of fashion! He loves picking out clothes more than I do, it seems 😉 He’s been great though… indulges my cravings, lets me cry (but doesn’t hesitate to laugh at me because we both know I’m being ridiculous) and is just all-around so caring and a perfect dad-to-be.

I guess that’s about it for now! We’ll have another check-up at 24 weeks, then the glucose test and labs at 28 weeks. After that, we start going every other week! It’s really flying by!

XO,

Amanda
