Hey everyone!
I wanted to share the fun story, as well as some pictures and video, of our awesome experience with a Gender Reveal ultrasound! My friend at work recommended a place called Stork Vision Atlanta, where she had gone to reveal she was having a sweet baby girl (it really is the year of the girl, huh?) Of course, once I found out our doctor wouldn’t tell us the gender until 20 weeks, Little Miss Impatient over here decided it was time to convince Mr. R that we neeeeeeeeeded to go to Stork Vision. After all, they promised that 16 weeks was the perfect time for a gender reveal!
So we planned the date for 16w1d and invited our families and siblings. My little brother was supposed to be in town, so we had planned it so he could be there, but unfortunately his plans fell through. I made some cute bow vs. bow tie Team Pink and Team Blue gear, and asked everyone to dress in the color they thought the baby would be. Team Pink had a great showing, while Mr. R, my mother-in-law and I were the only Team Blue supporters. Turns out everyone knew something we didn’t!
Our experience at Stork Vision Atlanta is something we’ll never forget. The ultrasound tech, Shannan, was so great and made Baby R wake up just long enough to show us the goods. The place itself is so cute, and is tucked away in a little house in Buckhead. The ultrasound room had couches set up so our family truly felt welcomed and like a part of the experience. It was so great for them all to get to see Baby R moving and wiggling around, and having them all there when they announced, “It’s a Girl!” is something I’ll never forget.
