The Accidental Mrs.’ 2013 Holiday Gift Guide

Hey everyone,

As the holidays quickly approach and Black Friday creeps up, I have put together my holiday gift guide for 2013 to help you navigate your way through the stores this year! Below, you’ll find my top buys for everyone- women, men, kids, babies and everyone in between!

Crochet Accessories

I’m talking scarves, hats, ear muffs, gloves, etc. Crochet is so big right now, and places like Etsy and brick and mortar boutiques are overflowing with cute and warm designs to keep you fashionable this fall and winter. It’s looking like it will be a cold winter in Atlanta this year (and around the country) so these will definitely be more functional than just a fashion statement! Check out some of my favorite Etsy crochet finds below, and click on the image to be taken right to the store!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle crochet hat! So cute!

Electronics

Whether it’s a tablet, e-reader, new TV, or something else, there are plenty of electronics for everyone (and every budget!) Make sure you check out Black Friday specials especially for electronics- there are some good deals out there!

Sleep Sheep

Perfect for the baby (or baby-to-be) in your life! I’ve heard from all my mommy friends that they absolutely love the Sleep Sheep, and so do their babies! I definitely have one on Baby R’s registry, so hopefully she’ll have one to love when she gets here, too! Purchase one here.

Orbeez

You can buy these little guys at Toys R Us, Target, really anywhere with toys! These are the “it” product, or at least I’m told by my 9-year-old sister! Find out more about the different Orbeez products available here.

Gym membership

I’ll preface this one by saying: Make sure it’s something the person has talked about before and/or you know they want. Otherwise, it may come off as you telling them they need to go to the gym! Within this group, there’s a lot of wiggle room. Does the person love yoga, crossfit, barre or some other workout? Try a specialized membership to their facility of choice- this will show you really care and are listening. Plus, during the holidays, many gyms will even run special discounts and deals.

Board Games

This is a timeless option. Sure, new games come and go, but most stay the same. I love the classics, like Life, Clue, Monopoly and Pictionary, but there are some really fun new games, too! For example, we just bought my sister Head Bandz: Act Up! I can tell you we had the most fun we’ve had in a long time playing that crazy game! Plus, Target has all board games for Buy One, Get One at 50% off!

Xbox One

Word on the street is the new Xbox One is where it’s at this holiday season! Now I must admit I don’t know too much about the Xbox One, but I do know it provides the best all-in-one experience for all game lovers! And if it’s enough to make Mr. R AND my dad mention it, it’s probably a cool product. Check out more about the Xbox One here.

Rainbow Loom

Here’s another one for the kiddos- Rainbow Loom or Crazy Loom. I know you’ve all seen the bracelets; they are all the rage! This is a pretty affordable gift at around $15, but with all of the accessories and extra bands you can buy, you can really customize this to be any size gift you want! Plus, I love the fact that this encourages kids to learn and try new methods of making bracelets and patterns. Find out more here.

Bonus Tip!

Know someone getting married or having a baby in 2014? Check out their registry and see what they still need- it will be a practical AND wanted gift, plus it will cut down your shopping and thinking time significantly πŸ™‚

What do you think of my Holiday picks? What’s topping your list this year?

XO,

Amanda

I really want to get the Headbands game, it looks like a lot of fun. I also like the chrochet idea–seems a little more personal, now I just need to chrochet myself!! I havnt dived into orbeez cause I have nightmares of my baby eating them, but I think my girls would die to have them. Great tips!

Isn’t it? They are selling the pattern, but I’d love to find one pre-made!
