Hey everyone,
Today, we’re talking Fall (yes, again!) Like so many others, Fall is definitely my favorite season, and with glimpses of fall weather every now and then, I’m cozying up to all things Fall. Now, when I say ways to prep your house for Fall, I’m not necesarily just talking about a front door sign (although I do have a front door sign for every occasion/season/holiday, so let’s not trivialize the door sign!) But it’s more than that. Prepping your home for Fall can also be things like table and centerpiece decorations, Fall scents to use throughout the house, coffee blends that are perfect for the season and some Fall-favorite recipes.
So, ready to prep your house for fall? Here we go!
Scents:
When it comes to scents, there are many ways to achieve that perfect Fall smell around the house. I am a fan of Scentsy for all our smell-good needs, a) because my mom sells Scentsy, and b) because I freaking love the stuff! There are so many delicious Fall scents, like Baked Apple Pie, Autumn Sunset, Clove & Cinnamon, Frosted Ginger Cookie and Honey Pear Cider, how can you even go wrong?
Another scent solution is candles. Who doesn’t love candles? They are pretty, smell-goody and can even serve a functional purpose if the lights go out! You can grab a lot of the same types of scents I mentioned from Scentsy, to make sure you keep your house smelling Fall-y and fresh.
Decor:
These are just a few of my favorite decor ideas to get my juices flowing to decorate my own home!
Recipes:
Once you’ve got the house smelling good long-term, feel free to layer on scents of freshly baked cookies, pies, turkeys and more- and we’re talking real food, of course! For me, at least, the holidays provide some of the best eats of the year, so I have to make sure to enjoy them to their fullest! Here’s a round-up of some of my Fall favorites:
- Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins with Toasted Coconut: The Accidental Mrs.
- Rolo Snickerdoodle Cookies: The Accidental Mrs.
- Tomato Soup: Good Eats ‘n Sweet Treats
- Whole Wheat Pumpkin Pecan Pancakes: Gina’s Skinny Recipes
Also, Apple Pie ANYTHING, including:
- Apple Pie Salsa and Cinnamon Sugar Tortilla Chips: The Peach Kitchen
- Easy Caramel Apples: Pinterest
- Apple Biscoff Crumble Pizza: Inside Bru Crew Life
- Apple Pie Cupcakes: The Tale of Two Kitchens
- Apple Pie Taco Bites: DoughMesstic
Hot Beverages:
Fall is the PERfect time to try out new seasonal blends of coffee, tea, hot chocolate- whatever you choose! I love holiday blends of everything- they just feel so nostalgic. I mean, who doesn’t start thinking about a nice, tall Pumpkin Spice Latte the minute they pull out their scarves and boots? Now imagine that smell and taste in your home every morning!
What am I missing? What helps YOU get ready for Fall?
XO,
Amanda
