Hi everyone,
Lately, everyone’s been chatting about what they’ve been getting in the mail, and I’m not just talking about my blogger friends. Subscription boxes, which allow registered users to sign up and pay for a box of samples and goodies every month, are all the rage right now. Since I am looking to jump on the bandwagon, I wanted to do a round-up of the top subscription boxes to help me, help you.
Birchbox: $10/month (women) and $20/month (men)
Birchbox is the first subscription service I was introduced to, and seems to be the most well-known. Every month, you will receive a box of sample products, including beauty, perfume, make-up, etc., with the opportunity to purchase full-size products if you like it! There is a men’s and women’s box, as well, so don’t feel left out, guys!
Julep Maven: $19.99/month
Julep Maven is another one that everyone is loving right now! This box subscription allows you to take a personalized style quiz, and determine if you would like to receive nail polish, beauty products or both! The colors and styles will also be personalized to your preferences!
Wantable: Subscribe for $36/month or buy a single box for $40.
Wantable is another great site, and the cool thing about this one is that they let you pick either a jewelry box or a makeup box. You will receive full sized makeup products or limited edition or personalized jewelry. They offer really great pieces, like the nail bracelet below:
BarkBox for Dogs: $29/month
Calling all pooch lovers! BarkBox is, you guessed it, for the favorite pup in your life! All you have to do is sign up, decide how many month’s you want to spoil your doggie for, and let them know how big your dog is, as their goodies can be tailored to their sizes. Psst: there is also a cat box for my meow lovers, too!
Love with Food: $10/month
This organic food delivery system offers a box full of gourmet samples like Whole Wheat Apple Fig Bars, Dark Chocolate Hot Fudge, Muscat Grape Jelly. This service has a really cool twist- for every box you receive, you are donating a meal to a hungry child.
Citrus Lane: $21/month
This is, of course, the cutest of the subscription boxes, because it’s for babies! Citrus Lane’s boxes are tailored not only to the child’s gender, but also to your little one’s age and stage! At only $21 a month, you could even rally together some friends and give an expecting friend a 6-month or year-long subscription!
So tell me: Are you subscribed to any of these boxes? Which one sounds like the one you’d most like to try?
XO,
Amanda

June 24, 2013 at 3:49 pmI have not taken that step and subscribed to a box. I think if I did, it would probably be for my pups, LOL. I love watching them experience new treats and new toys.

June 25, 2013 at 3:45 pmAgreed, I have cats, and even though they are much less animated than dogs, I LOVE giving them gifts and they actually will run down the stairs if they hear “treats”! I love it!

June 24, 2013 at 4:44 pmI bought the Julep box on an amazing deal last year. I liked it but am not a high-end nail polish person. I just signed up for Love With Food and have yet to receive it but I’m looking forward to it!
Great round-up!

June 25, 2013 at 3:38 pmThat’s awesome! I will have to try that one! I agree about the high end nail polishes though, any old polish will work for me!

June 24, 2013 at 11:10 pmI’m not a fan of those monthly boxes subscription. It is a hit or miss thingy and most you get you don’t get to use. I’ll spend the money on something I really use than a bunch of I don’t and won’t

June 25, 2013 at 3:37 pmTahats a really good point! There is definitely a chance of getting something you don’t like, so you can definitely be more sure of what you are getting by purchasing things yourself!
