What are you doing this Father’s Day?

If your family is anything like mine, there is a slight obsession of superheros that ranges from the littlest 2-year-old up to the 30-something-year-old men in the family.  And since the new Superman movie, Man of Steel, has been on our summer must-watch list, I think we just may mix the two together this year! How, you may ask? Well, for the first time ever, tickets to the EXCLUSIVE pre-screening of Man of Steel [PG-13] on June 13th are available only at Walmart! The pre-screening will be shown at specified theatres at 7PM – making it the perfect family event for Father’s Day or to kick off the summer.

Been living under a rock and haven’t seen the trailer yet? No problem!

See? Now doesn’t that look like a great way to start the Father’s Day Weekend? With the help of the men/dads in my life, I’ve put together some more ideas, as well, for kicking off Father’s Day weekend below.

Top 5 Things to Kick Off Your Father’s Day Weekend:

5. Dinner at his favorite restaurant– whether it’s greasy burgers or a juicy steak- let him have his choice!

4. Family getaway to the beach. Because who doesn’t want to relax in the sand as a way to feel appreciated, even if it’s only for a weekend!

3. Big family cookout. This one is a must-do for our family, no matter the occasion. Considering that reservations for 21 are hard to come by, we’re more likely to pick a house and order food! Now that my family is moving here, too, I think this is a perfect way to bring everyone together!

2. Catch a baseball game. Such an All-American thing to do, right? But MLB is right in the middle of their season, so it’s the perfect opportunity to spend a day at the ballpark with Dad!

1. Taking the whole gang to the exclusive Walmart Premiere Night Screening of Man of Steel at 7 PM on June 13th, 2013.  Plus, the convenience of buying our tickets at Walmart makes it super easy to ensure that everyone in our huge family has easy access to tickets. We all live near a Walmart, so it’s a super convenient way to make plans to attend the special showing of the movie!

Henry Cavill was my favorite on the Tudors! Nice to see him doing big movies. Can’t believe he was almost Edward from Twilight.
