Hi everyone,
So, I may very well be the last one to jump on the yoga bandwagon, but I finally did, and I can see why so many are into it! I’ve been doing yoga for about a month now, and I am definitely still at the Beginner level (come on, the Downward Facing Dog is still SUPER hard for me!) but I am really enjoying it and am already feeling some of the benefits!
Over the past month of yoga-ing, I’ve found tons of different websites, videos, articles, accessories and cute outfits to fuel my fire. For example, did you know that DoYogaWithMe.com has hundreds of free yoga videos that you can stream offline, ranging from 10 minutes to 2 hours? Cool huh?
Once you get into yoga, there is so much you can do. From taking classes at a gym or studio, to working out with videos at home, to trying new yoga experiences (Hot Yoga, anyone?), you really can spice it up and keep yourself enthralled in yoga!
For me, yoga is a relaxing, calming way to take my mind off the craziness inside my head, and instead focus my energies on something else, even if only for 30 minutes. I also find it to be fun and relaxing, and easier to wake up for than hard workouts. Besides all of this, there are also a ton of health benefits of yoga: it’s an excercise that can help you look long and lean without getting bulky, can help you with your flexibility, posture, strength and core control, and so much more.
Do you do yoga? Have you ever tried it, and if so, what was your favorite benefit?
XO,
Amanda

May 14, 2013 at 6:25 pmYou’re definitely not the last person to jump on the yoga wagon! I’ve been thinking about it more and more though, I have ADHD (unmedicated) and it requires a miracle to shut my brain off at night. I’m hoping trying yoga might help me work with that.
