Can I get show of hands for my coffee lovers? I know there have got to be more than a few of you here! I, for one, love.love.love coffee… it is SO good! But, I know it’s not so good for you in the amounts I was drinking it, so I’ve had to cut back and start subbing out tea sometimes (which is good for you, and warrants another post itself, so stay tuned).
One of the bigget coffee fanatics I know is my dearly beloved, my Mr. R. That man can drink coffee like it’s the end of the world. Because of this love, we are always on the lookout for intersting flavors, blends and types of coffee.
Right now, we are stuck on Gevalia coffee. It’s smooth and dark, and since Mr. R really likes his coffee black and not masked with flavors and creams, it’s really important what the coffee tastes like at the surface, not what it’s going to taste like once it’s prepared.
We are also always on the hunt for coffee anytime we are at Marshall’s or T.J.Maxx. You heard right; they always have crazy flavors and blends at Marshall’s and T.J. Maxx, for both your coffee maker and Keurigs!
Speeeeaking of Keurigs- there’s another source of our coffee-loving! My parents got it for us two years ago on my birthday, and we love making single-cups in it! We still use the big coffee maker more, only because we usually drink at least 6 cups in the morning (I know, I know, not good- why do you think I’m on tea now? This is the Special Edition Keurig coffee maker that we have:
Our latest coffee splurge, and Mr. R’s latest obsession, comes in the form of a Nespresso instant espresso maker! Think a Keurig that spits out tiny shots of pure amazing espresso. Mr. R’s was for our 1 year anniversary, and he is absolutely in love with this little machine and the quality coffee it produces. Here he is the morning he opened it:
I got him the Nespresso U Machine, which has been amazing so far. It makes three different sizes, so Mr. R has been playing around with adding sweetened condensed milk, evaporated mile for Cafe con Leche (a Cuban fave!) and other variations. And then sometimes, all he needs is a lil’ sugar and he pops those espresso shots like nothing!
So what about you all? Who loves coffee, and what kind is your regular go-to? What do you consider a treat?
XO,
Amanda
