My brother, the actor

So, to me, my little brother will always be just my little brother. Check out the little guy here:

Ok, so mayyyybe time has passed since then, and this is more what he looks like.

No matter what he looks like, he’ll always be my little brother, the bratty five year old that pulled my hair to get the last piece of pizza and the camera-lover that spit in my face to get his spot in front of the camera. Funny how some things stay the same, which leads my to the meat of the story…

My brother has taken on a new role in the past few years, as an aspiring actor, for which I am so immensely proud of him! I’m talking, like, screamed the first time I saw him on TV (thank goodness I wasn’t holding a knife, huh?) His first big gig was for an Ashley Furniture commercial, which aired one morning during Good Morning America… holy moly, I was doing the dishes with my back turned when I thought…”I know that voice!”

He has also taken a major step in his professional acting and modeling career by signing with the Agency Arizona, one of the top agencies there. Here’s his professional page and resume (Hint Hint: Media friends!) They’ve gotten him jobs like the Ashley furniture commercial, a role on the hit ID Network’s Unusual Suspects, where he played a murder victim’s boyfriend, and a recent commercial for Cousins Subs. He’s actually played two criminals and/or people in trouble with the law. The first picture below was in a play, and the second was from Unusal Suspects.

Matt (did I ever even mention his name? It’s Matt Aviles, and you should remember that, because you’re going to be seeing it a lot) recently had some great headshots done by a photographer named Jennifer Mae. I think these pictures turned out amazingly well!!! I can see why he is getting all these jobs!

Finally, Matt’s also been photgraphed to be one of the faces of Dermatique, a dermatologist website. My, oh my, check out that clear skin below!

 

 

The Moral of the Story:

All this to say, I am SO PROUD OF YOU, Matt Aviles! You are truly an inspiration to follow your heart and your dreams, no matter where they may take you. Know that you always have the love and support of your family and friends. We know you’ve got this fame thing in the bag 😉
