*Sponsored Post* Celebrating Día de los Reyes Magos with Net 10 Wireless

How fun! this is especially exciting because, though I’ve always heard of this celebration, I’ve never actually celebrated it. So, we were excited to take part for the first time.

 

Anyway, for a little bit of history, this celebration stems from the New Testament where it is stated that the  three kings traveled by night to bring gifts to Jesus. The Three Kings are depicted as wise men, and arriving from three different directions, the kings followed the light provided by the star of Bethlehem.

So, these days, to celebrate, on the night of January 5, before an early night in bed, children leave out their shoes in a spot where the Kings are sure to see them. Since the Three Wise Men are like Santa in that they love a nice treat when they make stops, Spanish children often set out goodies to entice the Kings. When morning arrives, kids wake up to discover that the Kings nibbled the sweets and by their shoes there are wrapped presents just waiting to be torn into.

 

Since we  don’t have kids yet, this was a fun opportunity for Mr. R and I to extend the holidays a bit and spoil each other for just a little longer! Here’s our set-up of shoes and sweet treats at the end of the bed.

 

 

And this is what we woke up to find 😉

 

 

Here’s Mr. R opening his gift- movies! Then, he used his LG  phone to snap a few pictures of the movies and share them with his brothers.

 

 

 

 

I got a set of White Strips for my teeth (by choice!) I used these before the wedding and loved them, but just can’t dish out the dough on a regular basis, so this was my little splurge. I immediatly took to Twitter on my LG Optima Logic to share the news of my forthcoming sparklers! Since my Net10 Wirless service is Unlimited, I had no issues with my internet slowing down or running out.

 

 

 

 

 Finally, we got to enjoy a traditional Roscon de Reyes dessert (picture, again, thanks to my LG Optima Logic!)
