This feels weird! I’ve been with Edelman for 2 years now, and while that may not be the longest time, it still is weird to me knowing that I won’t be coming into this building tomorrow, won’t be fighting Downtown traffic, won’t be checking my blue-covered Edelman BlackBerry all night (you’re welcome, Cele) and won’t get to see all of my awesome co-workers everyday.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m really excited for Monday to come and to start at RaceTrac (remember those night-before-the-first-day-of-school butterflies?) but it is definitely a bittersweet day. I know it’s the right move, and I’m definitely thrilled.
But, it’s 1:30 p.m. and I’ve successfully crossed off everything on my to-do list (chalk it up to my always trying to get ahead of the curve), sorted out my emails and all that’s left is to send out a Goodbye email to the office. That, and one final meeting, and I’m closing the chapter on a 2 year career (one that I referred to as my Dream Job upon receiving an offer, and on many accounts thereafter). Thus, the reminiscent blog post… so I’m sorry, and thanks for listening to my rambling!
Up this weekend, I’m going to post about what to wear for a new job, and all about my feelings leading up to the big day… so stay tuned 🙂
