What Should You Wear to a Rehearsal Dinner?

Hey yall!

So, Mr R.’s younger brother Samy and his amazing fiance Jess are FINALLY tying the knot this weekend! I can’t wait to finally have Jess join the family (officially as a Rodriguez, though she’s been an honorary one for longer than me!)

In honor of how excited I am for this beautiful wedding, I wanted to share a Rehearsal Dinner outfit inspiration board. What to wear was definitely something I struggled with as the bride, and now again as  a bridesmaid.  You don’t want to be underdressed, you don’t want to be overdressed. Do you wear white? Do you avoid white? Ay yi yi, it’s all so overwhelming!

Loving this one shoulder blue dress from ShopDressU. To me, this one would have been perfect for my RD, or the one I am going to this weekend. It’s cute, flirty, fun, but still classy.

Here’s a really cute option from TopShop, and it’s a high-low dress so it’s awesome because of that, too. I think this one could definitely be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion and “fanciness” of the rehearsal dinner.

 

I’d also like to share an option for a dressier rehearsal dinner, whether it’s at a nice steakhouse, venue or any other black-tie setting. This inspiration from Polyvore is a great classy option, that’s definitely still fun. The pearls definitely take it over to the nice side, so if you were in the market for something more casual you could lose the jewelry and add a pop of color with fun shoes.

And now, a casual / traditional option from Anthropologie. I love the sunny colors of this one!
